Discuss the destruction caused by nuclear bomb in :Nagasaki,August ,1945".

The theme of the essay is horror and destruction. The 9th of August, 1945 was a clear, hot and beautiful summer day. At 11 a.m. the sound of a B-29 aircraft passing overhead was heard. A few minutes later, air flashed a brilliant yellow and there was a huge blast of wind. The roofs of the houses were blown.
All glasses were shattered. The walls were reduced to rubble. There were fires everywhere. The air was full of radiation. There were people in the streets whose clothes were in rags and shreds of skin hung from their bodies. They looked like ghosts and vacant stares.
The city was destroyed. There were dead bodies everywhere. From the mouth of the dead bodies, foam was coming out. The green mountain behind the medical school had changed to a bald mountain. All the injured died in the next few days. Disposing of dead bodies was a difficult task because so many people died in Nagasaki.
The nuclear bombing did nevertheless prove devastating, with approximately 22.7% of Nagasaki's buildings being consumed by flames, but the death toll and destruction was less than in Hiroshima. Estimates of casualties from Nagasaki have generally ranged between 50,000 and 100,000.
The fact that the Nagasaki bomb was more powerful and also the narrowing effect of the surrounding hills did mean that physical destruction in the Urakami Valley was even greater than in Hiroshima. Virtually nothing was left standing.
